It’s important to mention that despite my professional career in Artificial Intelligence, my family is usually quite detached from technological advancements and exhibits minimal concern for global happenings.
AI has brought in a big change.
Think of it — new music composed in the style of Beethoven but never heard before. Tailored news articles are written just for you. Video games with endlessly generated levels.
The list, as well as the possibilities, are limitless!
But that’s not all!
On a deeper level, GenAI is helping us tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time by creating new life-saving medicines, helping model climate patterns, and even showing us effective ways to teach the next-gen!
But just like any powerful tool, it comes with its challenges — Deepfakes, AI-generated misinformation, and the blurring line between reality and AI-generated content are serious concerns we must address as a society.
